Getting Started
Start by clicking on the page icon in the sidebar and renaming the Angle3 page to Home. Save the recent changes.
Creating Pages
To create a new page, click on icon on the top right. Name it FAQ and then click on the Create button.
Symbol
Since, we want to reuse the Navbar, select it and then right-click. Choose the Create Symbol option and name the Symbol, Navbar. To add the Navbar symbol to the FAQ page, copy the Symbol, go to the FAQ page and then paste it in Body.
Modifying Navbar
To modify the Symbol, double-click it. Change the first link to Mockups, the second one to FAQ and the last one to Sign in. The changes will take effect for every instance of the Navbar.
FAQ Symbol
Now, we'll add a symbol for FAQ as well. Select FAQ, right-click on it and then Create Symbol. Name the Symbol FAQ. To add the FAQ Symbol to the FAQ pages, you can either copy it or press A and click on Symbols. Simply, select FAQ and it'll be added. Add the body class to Body to add the fonts we have on the Home Page to the FAQ page.
Link Navbar Items
Start by selecting the Logo and going to Settings. In Link Settings, choose the 2nd option and select Home. Click on FAQ in the Navbar and link it to the FAQ page in Link Settings.
Footer
Let's create a footer! Select Body, press A and add a new section. Rename the Section to Footer. Set the background-color to #E5E4FA and set the padding top as well as the bottom to 50.
Footer Container
Add a new Container to Footer and rename it to Footer Container. Click on Footer Container and add a Grid component to it. Rename Grid to Footer Links. Add a Text Link to Footer Links and set its font-size to 16. In Style, set the Decoration to 'X'. Duplicate the Text Link thrice. Rename the link to Home, Mockups, FAQ and Sign in.
Footer Copyright
Select the Footer Container and add a Div Block to it. Rename it to Footer Copyright. Add a Text Block to Footer Copyright and paste some text in it. Set its font-size to 16, font-weight to Medium and color to Black. Now, add a Rich Text Block to Footer Copyright, remove the content we get by default and paste some content in it. Since, we added a Rich Text Block , you can add links to the text.
Styling Footer Copyright
Click on the Footer Copyright and give it a margin-top of 20. Set Display to Grid and in Columns, remove the 2nd one. Select Rich Text Block and set the color to #6C6A8E. Click on Link 2 in Footer Links and set the color to #6236FF.
Newsletter
Now, let's add a newsletter. Select the Footer Container and add a new Div Block to it. Next, add a Text Block to the newly created Div Block and paste some text in it. Select the Footer Container and set Display to Flex.
Footer Content
To group the content, select Footer Container and add a new Div Block. Rename it to Footer Content and place it above Footer Links. Now, drag & drop the Footer Links and Footer Copyright inside it. Rename the other Div Block to Newsletter and set its max-width to 400. To fix the layout issue, choose Space-Around in Justify.
Adding Icon
Lastly, we want to add an icon to the Text Block. Select the Text Block and in Backgrounds, add the image called Icon-Email.svg. Set its width to Auto, Position to top-left and don't Tile. Give the text a padding-left of 30.
Footer Symbol
Right-click the title i.e. Footer and choose Create Symbol. Set the name to Footer. Go back to the Home page, press A, click on Symbols and then select Footer to add it to the Home page as well.
Conclusion
In this section, we learned how to use Symbols to reuse elements across the site. In the next one, we'll add a form to the newsletter and for login. We'll also connect the form to MailChimp.
