Import from Sketch

To get started, grab the 6.ScreenTransition sketch file and head to ProtoPie to create a new Pie. Then, import from Sketch Home at 3x.

Cover Rectangle

Since the main card is an imagez, it isn't resizable so we'll be creating a Rectangle instead to make it adaptive. To do so, select the Card, click on Shape and choose the Rectangle option. The size of the rectangle would be equal to the size of the frame. Rename the rectangle to Cover and set the color to #0B074A.

For the Shadow, set the color to #242953 and the opacity to 30%. Set Y to 15 and the Blur to 20%.

Set the corner radius to 16.

The next step is to delete **the **Card layer.

Constraints

The resizing issue still persists. To resolve it, we'll be using constraints. Remove the fixed width and set the constraints to left, top and right. To make sure the elements are also adaptive, set both the Generative layer and the Illustration layer to the right as well.

Card Tap

To add animation, select Card, click on the Add Trigger button and choose the Tap option. Next, add Move by clicking on the '+' icon below Tap and set both X, Y to 0.

Resize Card by adding Scale, set the width equal to the width of the device, which is 375px.

Lastly, we'll fix the corner radius. Select the Cover layer, add Radius and set it to 0.

Full View Scene

Create a new Scene and import the Full View scene from Sketch. To create the exact background, we'll go back to Home, select Card and add a Rectangle. Rename the rectangle to Background and set the color to #FFFFFF. Lastly, set the size equal to that of the frame. Please make sure to place Background underneath the Cover layer.

Full View Text

To add animation to the background, select Background and add Scale. Set the size equal to that of the device, which is 375 x 812. Now, select the Text layer and add Move, set the Y axis to 400. To hide the status bar for when you move to the second screen, move it to the bottom of the Card layer.

Position Y 30, X 30

Opacity 0

Background Rectangle

For the Background layer, set the same constraints as the Cover layer: left, top and right. Set the corner radius to 16. Next, copy and paste the Text layer (from the new Scene) inside the Card layer, set both X and Y to 30.

Arranging Scenes

In order to arrange the scenes, click on the Scene Editor and remove the second scene because we'll be reusing the first one. Right-click on Scene 1 and duplicate it. Rename Scene 1 to Home and the duplicated one to Full-View.

Rearranging Full View Scene

Now, we'll move on to rearranging. To do so, click on Full View and move the Card layer to the top, resize it to fit the screen. Next, select the Cover layer and set corner radius to 0. Then, select the Background layer and set the height to 812px. Now we select the Text layer and set Y axis to 400.

Jump

To add a proper Jump, select the Home scene. After Tap, add Jump by clicking on the '+' icon and then select Full View as the Select Scene option. We'll set the delay right after the animation is over, which is 0.2. To make sure that you go back to the first scene from the second one, select Full View and add Jump there as well by following the same steps. Make sure to select Home as the Select Scene option. The delay value will be same: 0.2.

Reset Scene

Lastly, make sure to check "Reset the selected scene" in both the scenes.

Reversing Animation

The values can also be found in the Sketch file and in the first scene. Start by selecting the Card layer, set Move to position 16, 140. For Scale, set the width to 343. Select Radius and set it to 16.

Then, select Background, set its Scale to 343 and 350.

Lastly, select Text and then Move. Set Y axis to 400.

Spring Animation

We can also add Spring animation. To do that, select Card and then Move, choose the Spring option from Easing drop-down. This will increase the animation duration so we'll also have to increase the delay value of the Jump accordingly, set the Start Value to 0.7. Set the Tension for Move to 300 and the Friction to 20. Follow the same steps for the Full-View scene as well.

Conclusion

We could've added everything in a single scene but then we would've ended up with tons of interactions in one scene, this easily becomes unmanageable. Adding multiple scenes enables us to add new things way more conveniently.
